Blank Page after Installation

Hi,

I am installing the PLigg on Linux box, and I am getting blank page after installation though installation is successful..
I have given the chmod 777 to every file in the pligg directory.
I can see the chmod 777 to cache and template_c directory, but when again i want to give the permission after installation, it says permission denied.

I tried to install the same in windows, its working peacefully, but we have the hosting as Linux box.

The version of PLIGG is Beta9.
Please help me out, If any other info is needed, please ask me.

I also have a blank page.

The settings look correct, it wrote to the Settings & to the dbconnect, I changed all permissions back to normal & deleted the install directory, just blank..

I renamed htaccess to .htaccess & reverted, nothing...

I even added the homepage name directly into settings.php.

Strange, Any ideas?

fyi, I dl the 9.1 version and installed and I dont have blank page anymore. I was able to log in to admin page.


And I was able to upgrade from 9.1 to 9.8 without any problems. Hope this works for you!
