Install / Smarty Error Beta 7

Hello, new here.

I attempted to install pligg and have been getting errors. I am doing a clean install on a root directory. I read the installation wiki and followed all the steps to the best of my knowledge. But, a myriad of problems then ensued:
  • I first installed B7R63, and got no errors on table population.
  • I clicked on "Open admin panel in new window" and immediately got an error stating it could not find login/admin_user.php. This was reasonable, seeing as no login folder was exists on my server or in the B7R63 zip archive.
  • Moving on, I went to my root address directly, Pligg loaded, and I was able to login.
  • When trying to go the user administration of user "god" I got a Smarty error, so I stopped and tried to use other functions of the site. I tried changing the themes, both of which gave me errors saying they could not locate neccessary files.
  • Then, something strange happened. Everything I did gave me a "Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "noprobs/index.tpl" in /home/content/f/l/a/xxxxxxxxxx/html/Smarty.class.php on line 1095". Even loading up my domain now gives me this error.
  • I decided to do it all over again. No install errors, but same Smarty errors for everything.
  • I repeated the whole process with B7R51, same Smarty error.

Any ideas?

Sorry, I just saw the "Installation Help" forum -- this may be better suited for there. If so, please move it appropriately, thanks ;).

Well, I just decided to try redoing everything once again with Beta 6, and so far everything is working ;). It would be nice to be able to run the newer versions though, if anyone has any suggestions, thanks.

EDIT: Well, I really want to get Beta 7 running, so I've toasted the Beta 6 install and I'm back at trying to peck away at my Beta 7 problems.

After looking into my error some more:

Warning: Smarty error: unable to read resource: "noprobs/index.tpl" in /home/content/f/l/a/xxxxxxxxxx/html/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

It seems the script thinks I am using the "no probs" template. This does not appear to be installed by default with the B7R** zip archives, so my script trying to call on its files would obviously be a problem. However, for the life of me, I cannot tell pligg to use another theme. The default theme under config.php was skidoo_too, so I have no idea why pligg is trying to call on noprobs, but I went ahead and changed skidoo_too to andreas00 that I recently uploaded to my themes directory. I then went to templates.tpl and deleted the noprobs entry and replaced it with the andreas00 template URL. Makes no difference -- when I try to load up my site it is still looking for "noprobs" files.

I also poked around in .htaccess and saw nothing relevant to themes or theme selection.

I'm stumped.

EDIT2: Oh lordy, there is a God in heaven. It was my cookie ;). Cleared cookies, and it works like a charm now.
