Fetching video embeds from story url

I would like to get a module created that uses an API that I have developed that retrieves the video embed code from webpages. This will allow videos to be included during story submission with having to cut/paste embed code.

No replies? There is a pligg site that uses the API for video submissions called eviplist. I was the lead developer for this project, but left due to my work load. The new developer took my API and integrated it in the site. It would be nice like to expand this functionality to other pliggs sites that want embed video.
