Blank Pages In Admin Panel: Problem With Several Modules

I'm sure that there must be something obvious that I have forgotten to do to my site.....

Several of my installed modules (rss import, modify formulas, send announcement, modify language) when I click on them from the Admin Panel, I expected to see a page where I could alter their configuration etc, however, all that I get for these modules is a blank page

eg: when I click www.mysite.com/module.php?module=admin_language I just get a blank page.

I've tried uninstalling modules and re-installing - still wont work.

I can not believe that I am the only person with this problem - but searching the forums, I can not find a solution....

I'm running pligg 9.9.0

Yes, I uploaded the unzipped files to the modules file (using ftp) then installed via the admin panel - module management.

All chmod settings have been double checked against the readme.txt file supplied with the 9.9.0 upgrade / install. Should special chmod settings also be applied to the modules folder?

Very odd that I can click on the capcha module and see the editable settings, however, all other modules that are called as follows...

www.mysite.com/module.php?module=module_name

...result in a blank page!

Sorry for another post on this;
A couple of thoughts....
  • I'm using yget template - could this be preventing me from seeing certain modules (blank pages) in admin?
  • The first version of pligg that I installed was 9.5 - I had problems with seeing the RSS Import Admin Module then and have continued to have problems even though I have upgraded (and installed modules from scratch) to 9.9.0.
  • Could the install process for these "blank" modules be failing to alter some other file somewhere else in the system? I've checked all chmod are correct.
  • When I view the source code for the blank pages - there is nothing at all.

Hosting Details:
HTTP Server: Apache/1.3.33 (Unix)
PHP Version: 4.4.1 (Zend: 1.3.0)
MySql: 4.0.12

What am I doing wrong?
