Publish to Twitter Module for Pligg CMS

The Publish to Twitter module does just exactly that. It publishes your most recent popular story from your home page to your Twitter account using the Twitter API. By using the Publish to Twitter module you can build traffic and new users much faster and simpler than traditional posting methods.

      Features include:

      • Uses Tinyurl links, to shorten long story URLs.
      • Publish Twitter submissions from the Pligg Admin Panel with just one click.
      • Optionally run from a cron job to automate posting stories to Twitter.
      • No Pligg CMS core file changes required!
      • Checks for duplicate Twitter posts. Won't post the same story twice.

      Requires

      • Twitter Account
      • PHP 5+ cURL

      Available for

      • Pligg 1.0.0
      • Pligg 1.0.1
      • Pligg 1.0.2
      • Pligg 1.0.3
      • Pligg 1.0.4
      • Pligg 1.1.0

Instructions are provided on how to process an automated cron. If you are unsure what a cron job is, please consult your host for support. Cron jobs are set up through your hosting account and have nothing to do with Pligg CMS..

    Have a few question...
1)What does it mean "It publishes your most recent popular story from your home page to your Twitter account"?

2)How does it determine "popular story"?

    3) Does it work only on published stories not upcoming?

    4) How many stories can it publish? Is this configurable?

Am very interested on this module. Just need clarification how it works. Thanks.

This module has now been updated for the Pligg 1.1.X Series. If you have previously purchased this module the updated version is now available from your Pligg Pro Account.

I've followed the instructions and doesn't work.

Wen I click the link in Admin a popup window comes up with the story URL and it says it was successful, but when I go to my site's twitter page it remains empty.

    Any ideas?

    Can't give much help here.
Your sales confirmation email gave you instructions on how to obtain help.
It was also detailed here, and here, and here..
Please take the time to read the documentation prepared for you.
