      Karma Wrangler for Pligg CMS

The Karma Wrangler module forces all users to have voted on previously submitted content before they are themselves allowed to make submissions. This highly requested module forces any user to have voted on X number of stories (default number is 5) before they are allowed to make submissions on your site. This will help promote stories faster by making users actually have to participate before they are allowed to add any content themselves. This module will also help cut down and block those pesky auto submitting spam programs where bots sign-up, submit, and leave your site, never to be seen again by requiring the user to actually manually vote on a number of stories before the submission system is unlocked...

      Available for

      • Pligg 1.0.0 or higher

Is this configured to act like this?

(assuming the vote number is 3)

    3votes - one story, 3votes - one story, ...

    Thanks

No.. it's basically designed for new users or users that haven't voted on anything yet. To help make sites more active.
This could be something that could be added down the road in future versions.

This module looks to be very, very promising.

Our directory is 4 years old. The main purpose is link building for Squidoo lenses. The structure is completely "follow" from anywhere in the site (has been from day one). So basically making it to published is only for prestige in their eyes. A link is a link.

I guess they don't realize the the front page gets the most views and the CTR (41%)

So, we'd like to get a bit more interaction between users. Trying to move from one and done submitting and a bit more about helping your fellow Lensmaster while you help yourself.

    Back to the response....

    Last two questions..

Once installed do all users have to go through the mod once? (That would be nice)

Once the vote criteria is meet the user is never shown the splash page again, rite?

I'll be thanking the developer for this as soon as I hit publish here. I haven't purchased yet but do think the mod has room to grow. Hopefully a few bucks from the masses can trickle down to further development of this mod.

    Thanks

Edit: ChipIn link expired. Gave a $20 spot to the forums instead.

    1. No.. if a user is currently active and have already met the voting criteria, he/she is not obligated to do it again.

    2. This is correct. Once they've met the minimum threshold of voting, they are not bothered again.

Yes the basic idea of this module is to stop drive-by submissions.

Also , thank you for your donation. The developer (me) doesn't see any of that unfortunately, but it still helps the Pligg project so it's very much appreciated.

    Best Regards

    Module Recommended

If your lacking interaction this mod will defiantly get the votes up!

As simple as it is, a user will throw down 5 votes no problem.
