Not sure if this will work but you can try editing line 2 of retweet_index.tpl

in that line find

{$story_url}"

Change it to

{$story_url}" target="_blank"

Then clear your template cache from the admin panel

I think I found a bug in the retweet plugin. When the story title includes a " | " (pipe) the plugin does not display the full short URL, but only the "bit.ly/"-part.
Please confirm.

Update: In submit step 3 the full short URL is shown after the pipe has been removed going back to submit step 2. After submission again only the "bit.ly/"-part shows. Is that a queuing thing by bit.ly?

I have the same problem as argh2xxx... And the bit.ly short URL that it retweets is simply " bitly | shorten, share and track your links " and not a valid URL.... Any ideas?
