Ultimate ReTweet

The ultimate retweet button for Pligg CMS.
The retweet module lets your users share submitted stories on your site through twitter. Making your site more dynamic, which results in higher traffic and return visitors.
Features include:
- Automatically generates a short url to your story page through bit.ly and adds it to the tweet.
- Automatically adds the title of the story to the tweet.
- Automatically counts and displays the number of visitors that have viewed the story by clicking on the bit.ly link in any tweet.
- Automatically hides the count if the current number is Zero.
- Works on published, upcoming, and story pages throughout your Pligg site.
- Easy installation, no configuration needed.
To install. Unzip and upload the retweet folder to your pligg/modules/ folder.
Activate the module through your Pligg admin panel.
It looks as though as of this morning Bit.ly is now requiring individual API keys to be used instead of allowing a global key.
Simply sign up at bit.ly, a simple url shortener
Then modify modules/retweet/js/retweet.js
Line 14 with your Bit.ly username
Line 18 with your Bit.ly API Key.

Available for Pligg 1.0.0 or higher.

Can I ask a question is it at all possible to have this module as the way stories are voted on i.e. to retweet the story/submission is to actually vote?

Look forward to hearing from you, excellent module by the way, you guys are constantly improving upon a great CMS.

If this is possible I will definitely buy it!

I am not sure I completely understand your question. Are you asking if you can combine the pligg voting system with the retweet button and only display a combined value? The answer is no.They are completely separate systems.

Hi Sorry, if I was unclear before, essentially yes I wanted to know if the voting button could be the retweeting button instead. I was messing around with the CSS last night (as I did actually buy it anyways, great idea BTW) and managed to place the Retweet button were the vote button is, and disabled voting so only the retweet button was in place. Obviously the posts/submissions will not move in terms of popularity/ranking etc as the voting is disabled.

I updated this module today for those that were having trouble using it with URL Method2 which was causing duplicate story titles on story pages.
If you've purchased this module previously you can log into your Pligg Pro account and download the most recent version.
If you haven't snatched up this popular module yet you can buy it right here.

I have a problem with this module, it seems bit.ly convert the URL of the source story wrong. Instead of going to domain.tld/pligg/story.php?title=story_title_here, it redirecto to domaint.tld/pligg/pligg/story.php?title=story_title_here which leads to 404 error. Help?

For your information, I also went to retweet.js and modified username and api key too. The 404 error remain even after remove and re-install the module.

Test link is at blogmyway.org/news/ but I probably going to remove the module as it's not working atm, and so to test for a reproduce result may not be feasible. Since my website is a production website, not a test website, I do not want to have non-working module's feature made available to website's members. Developers, can you test this on your own to fix the problem? Thanks... anyone else has this module install and has it working? Please give me a link so I can test it on your website if your is working!
