      Newsletter Subscription Module
The Newsletter module presents users with an option to subscribe to your own newsletter service during the registration process or from the user option panel. Do not miss the chance to monetize your user base! The module may work with any service supporting subscription through email, but it has only been tested only with AWeber and GetResponse. To check out why Aweber is the best solution for sending newsletters, read more on the instructions PDF document that explains Aweber and the use of the module in depth. Moreover, you have the option to customize the form prompt and the default subscription status.

    Nope but cool idea

We'll check the feedburner options and see if it's easy or worthy to do.
The thing is that with aweber you can broadcast your own messages so it's a much better solution. With feedburner you just broadcast your blog posts. that's not a bad thing, but it's limited.

    feedburner

i'd be really interested in a feedburner option too. As of today will any newsletter services other than Aweber work? (to be honest $20 month is too much for me at the moment.. i appreciate the $1 first month, but $20 month for just a hundred subscribers isnt a go for me).

The problem is that with feedburner you are not able to select what messages to distribute to your audience and the only option you have, is to send them a recap of what was published on the pligg site. If a community has 20 front-page items per day, users of the site won't be that interested in getting all the items if the feed and you will not be able to customize your message.

That's why we got with the option of AWeber, so that we're able to FULLY control our message to our audience. AWeber is pricy, we understand, but with a list properly created, you will be able not only to make up the costs but also profit from it.

We'll check the option for feedburner too and update this thread with our findings and any update to the plugin. Thank you for the feedback!

    ok, totally understand.

To avoid any confusion, perhaps rather than describing the application as "The module may work with any service supporting subscription through email" you should just say "the module ONLY works with AWeber"?

Anyway, all clear now, so thanks for taking the time to respond...

    Thank you for your query.

We will make sure that this plugin will work fluently with Pligg 2.0, but expect a release near the official public release of Pligg 2.0.
