New Sidebar Modules

I'm sure there must be a quick and dirty way to create new sidebar modules in mollio-beat where, for example, you could insert text much like the "About" box.

I suspect it takes more than duplicating a module and then re-naming it, editing it, etc. with your preferred text. How do you ensure a new module appears in your Admin panel for easy editing?

Thx
