Development: Mollio Beat 2.0

MollioBeat is not a one-man show anymore. We've put up a team that will work on Mollio Beat 2.0.
The team that is going to take pligg to the next level is:

The ideas for Mollio Beat 2.0:
(green = done, but not integrated into MB)

• Get the karma working
• Get the search working (better)
• Admin panel (instead of tinkering with config.php)
• Send a friend (see storylinker.com)
• Better user profile (see storylinker.com)
• Profile box (see storylinker.com)
• Easier registration (see storylinker.com)
• Nicer AJAXed animations
• Friendlier Category URL's (see shakk.us)
• Vote up AND DOWN (see shakk.us)
• Better localization: Having a localization setting in config.php, and get rid of all the hardcoded "iso-8859-1" and "UFH-8" in the pligg (core) code.
• Report-a-problem selectbox. Get this baby back to work.
• Standard assigning of title, breadcrumb and meta keywords
• Truncated Description on main page / category pages
• Podcast feeds
• Listen link in storybox (see storylinker.com)
• Better breadcrumb
• Add feed to online reader (see keepaddit.com)
• Pligg search - search "all" content, not just published
• ...And squashing a lot of bugs

More news/features will be added in this thread. So keep posted

Feature requests should be made in the MB suggestions thread.
We'll have a look at those and will see what ideas we can include in MB2.0

Wow! It looks absolutely amazing. I love the send an invite to a friend option. Great work! If I knew anyhting about design/coding I would love to help up. Unfortunately, all my help will have to come in the form of donations.

Do you guys just want me to put Mollio as it's own Subversion folder with the Pligg SVN? This would probably be the best way for you to keep things organized.

yes! svn is the best! i personaly use a local svn to tract my own changes as well. if we could make use of the public svn would save a lot of works.

please consider trac as svn frontend as well. .

We're working really hard to get this done. To guesstimate the answer to your question it's gonna be 1 or 2 weeks. But don't forget this is gonna be a lots of updates to pligg, so it takes a bit more time.

Maybe there's gonna be a MB1.2 with all the upgrades (that are done) if it takes to long till MB2.0. But I would like us to put all the effort in a full update.

Please if you could take care for good support of UTF-8 or other languages such as Greek [iso-8859-7] because in title links [if you use Greek] the link is with ?????? chars :-(
I'm ready to a big donation if somebody solve this problem !-)
