Release: Mollio-Beat Template 1.3

We're working hard on Mollio Beat 2.0, but we're still not close to a release date (1 or 2 weeks???).

So to keep you all from waiting - I hate waiting as well!- we're releasing the stuff we already did as Mollio Beat 1.3.

NEW FEATURES IN MB1.3:

• Category colors (enable/disable in config.php)
• Lots (!) of bugfixes
• More pages with breadcrumb (user profile and categories)
• Better solving of RSS parsing errors
• Nicer Friendly URL's when using strange characters like æ, ä, å, à, and á.
• New Loginbox / Profilebox
• Friendlier Tagcloud URL's
• Friendlier Tag URL's
• URLMethod=3 (Using hacks to get URLMethod=2 working on servers that give errors when using URLMethod=2)
• Better looking error pages

INSTALL NOTES:

0) Backup everything (yes, that means your SQL database as well!)

Did you backup? Ok, continue....

1. Install Pligg Beta 7.2 if you didn't already have done that
2. Check if everything is working (if it works continue with #3)
3. Unpack this package anywhere
4. Configure your "config.php". (read it for the new features)
5. Make sure "dbconnect.php" is present and configured right
6. Upload everything to your Pligg folder
7. Done!

IMPORTANT for the category colors feature:

Every category has an ID in your database. What the category colors feature does is saying: category ID1 should have color x, category ID2 should have color y, and so on. But if you have for example category ID 9999999 that is not defined in catcolors.css, it doesn't know the color and that category won't have a color.
Sooooooo.... basically all you gotta do is find out what the category id is of the non-colored link and create an entry in catcolors.css.

You can find out your cat colors by looking in your database or find every instance of: <h4 id="ls_title-#" class="cat#">
(# means an number, so don't complain you can't find that string literally!!!)

Thanks. This seems to have fixed the problem of DB errors when any tag was clicked.

What do you mean by 'category colors'? I still have standard gray colors as in the attachment.

I'll be updating the Pligg demo site this weekend to reflect the changes to both the newest version of Pligg and Mollio. I would do it tonight, but I'm busy with college finals until Thursday evening.

So far so good. I have it installed and working. I re-did the tweaks I did before, but I did them before I checked everything. Everything turned out ok though. The only thing that I'm having trouble with is that one of the catagories doesn't have a color. Thought it was white, but thats not it. It defaults to the red one in the story, but in the menu, there isn't one.

Also, sneak/spy is not returning anything.

Good point!!!!!! Forgot to explain that in the read me. Read the answer in my first post.

@Div: i included the wrong catcolors.css in the package you downloaded, so download the MB1.3 again and use the catcolors.css i just corrected. I guess that will solve most of your problems

OK, thanks for the quick responce. I uploaded the new catcolors.css and it fixed the color issue.

I missed a "/" in my config, so the sneak/spy is now working.

Eveything ok except one little thing. Not sure if it ever worked before, because I never tried it before. OK, it's when you go to your user profile, and then click on "view people who've added me as a friend", then when I click on a name, it drops the subfolder that pligg is installed in. Every other link on the site adds the subfolder and works fine. Thats the only one I have found so far that dosen't add it. Oh well, minor bug.

Ok, thanks, will take a look at that. I guess that's just a 5 minute job (including booting my computer), so i'll answer that question after some sleep.
