Smile DealSpy.org -- Social HotDeals Site (and a new look at pligg)

Hey all,

Just thought I would finally start mentioning my newest pligg site, http://www.dealspy.org.

Dealspy is a Social deals site, that is focused on finding the hottest deals. The site was originally named SevenSurfers (Which I released in Feb) but I decided I wanted a new look & a better domain name.

Some of the different features of Dealspy
* Dropdown Shelf (click on How does this work)
* Integrated last 25 tag block
* Moliobeat's pagination hack

And a few others here and there... It is still a work in process but I hope to release to general public sometime this month.

I'm really looking forward to that drop-down shelf hack and the last 25 tag block. Let me know if you need any help testing them!

looks awsome dude.

couple of things i noticed (in IE)

1) "how this works" layout breaks when expandded (you used script.alicio.us for this?)

2) "tags" does not line up with "catagories"

3) "add this link to" enables text toggled UNDER "problems textbox"

4) "top stories" should be "top deals" no?

Can you post / release the source code?

Very good job. How about giving back some to Pligg community?

How did you do the drop shelf? How did you do the "problem?" drop down? I am trying to put together something similar for an asian site but can't figure out how to enable user moderation of submitted stuff.

What about auto expiration? Can the deals auto go live and expire based on start and end dates?

Thanks.

hey all,

brand new to pligg. i haven't done anything beyond installing it, so this advice might not make total sense. but the sliding shelf is done with something like this:
