Name significance of Pligg?

I read the article on Pligg at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pligg - history and all stuff.

This name Pligg is buggnig my head for long time and donot think anyone has asked it before (I tried search - but got irrelevant results - so posting - forgive if already asked or mentioned elsewhere) - What is the significance of the name Pligg or name root?

Pl'igg' and D'igg' sounds similar but what does the Pl stand for - or I am totally wrong and do they signify something different?

Pls enlighten me.

m8s, in that wiki entry - there is no update on pligg 9.1 release - I am not supposed to edit entries from my place so if someone would do it - it would be gr8.

omg,that picture is like year old. Someone needs to delete that asap. Anyways, Yank came up with the name and I don't think it really means anything. At the time I think Yank and Ash thought of Pligg as a digg-clone and Yank basically came up with the name himself. Well, I don't want to put too many words in his mouth in case I am incorrect but hopefully he'll see this thread and explain in a little but more detail.

AshDigg is online - may be we should hear from him and Yank too. I really had thought Pligg had some significance - was coining like p= php, l=lite, igg=digg-clone etc..
