Question Pligg 1.0 Timeline?

I am currently working on building some custom functionality on top of my pligg install. However, I am concerned about merging future Pligg releases into my code base with my own changes in there. I would feel better building off the 1.0 final instead of a beta as they are more long term. Is there a timeline for the release of Pligg 1.0? How close are we?

p.s. Thanks to the Pligg developers for all the great work that has been done on Pligg. Its very useful and looks great

There is no time line for a 1.0 release right now. We're still working hard each day by adding new features and fixing bugs.

New features expected to be in the next release:
- Search users within user management
- Users can "bury" stories which grays out the story just like digg.
- Formula manager. A graphical user interface that allows you to manipulate formulas/algorithms that run on your Pligg site. Currently there is just a manager for "burying" stories. Hopefully before a new release admins will be able to edit other formulas.
- Upgraded to ezSQL 2.03 for better MySQL query handling/caching
- Added a "save stories" feture (thanks eH9116). Users can now "save" or "bookmark" stories which will be saved in their profile
- Latest comments in sidebar
- Upgraded to Template Lite 2.1.
-Removed options.php. Text only uses lang.conf now.
- Added a custom 404 page that admins can edit to their liking

one option you might look into is making your changes, and then presenting them as modules to the community. This way mutiple people can work on them, and the devs should be helpfuling in providing support for them in the next releases.

I'm not sure what your looking to change, but this might help you.
