Forsythe Park is in my mind the most beautiful spot in all of Savannah. Thats what made it such a perfect spot for the hundreds of students and residents of Savannah to participate in the epic "Battle for Forsythe". In the middle of this beautiful urban park was a large group of college-aged kids wielding axes made of cardboard and armor composed of bubble wrap. It reminds me a lot of the CareerBuilder commercials that aired during the Super Bowl this year. Police and college security stood by to watch the battle and I have yet to hear about any major injuries.

The two main rules for participating in the battle were as follows

1. You must first sign a contract before entering the battle. This contract prevents you from suing someone if you were to become injured during the battle.
2. Your armor and weapons must be made up of ONLY the following items: cardboard, bubble wrap and duct tape.

Sounds good. I will visit once a day from home and work. I will also pass the word around and see if I can get others to go visit. I am pretty sure I can get a couple of my buddies to join in the fun. So hopefully you can count on at least 4 visits a day from me and my crew.
