best "digg-safe" host?

so, I'm currently using GoDaddy to host my website since they offer a lot for the $$. I discovered recently, with Pligg and my other websites, that there is a lot of .htaccess rewrite limitations, or whatever it's called, where a lot of rules did not work.

I'm basically looking into purchasing a new service and was wondering which host do you think is the best, and can handle traffic from digg (to be safe in the future).

I've heard of DreamHost, but I've read only a lot of neutral reviews about it, few positive ones. So, looking for some recommendations.

Thanks.

Hi, the referral link added to the post is not of the original poster, it's forum's owner who has put his own referral url each time someone writes DreamHost, so I guess at least one person will be recommending DreamHost.

And in fact myself I would recommend it too because I'm using it and it simply rocks, and if you want a 50$ discount on any of their plan, go to their website and enter the promotional code "SENSERELY" when you're ordering one of their plan, use mine SENSERELY or search on the internet you can find more discount codes.

Yes, I use DreamHost and I made digg's front page 3 times in one week. It didn't drop once. I was truly amazed and completely satisfied.

Just have a look at the specs, for me who previously thought that 1and1 offers were cheap and one of the best webhosting i knew of, DreamHost certainly blew it all, not counting the facts that:
their newsletter is funny, they answer in minutes (true) and they accept adult content, which is always nice because we're not children anymore, if we want to do a website for adults, 1and1 doesn't accept, this and that webhosting companies don't accept, DreamHost is good, clean, and let you do what you want (as long as it's legal)

And look at the specs, maybe you know better but i didn't before and haven't look for since then!

is your scooptube site hosted on DreamHost? it looks like you're using url method 2 and it works fine.

No, scooptube is hosted elsewhere.. But I also have other pligg sites that are hosted on DreamHost and use url method 2. Never had any problems.

GoDaddy has great prices, and tremendous customer support.

I am stating to like HostGator though. Comes with Cpanel, and very flexible plans.
