new person looking for guidence

Hi everyone
I know html and css but nothing much else. I am able to pick things up pretty quickly. I have installed pligg today and im looking to customize it can someone point me in the right direction. Or even to install that blue theme in the download section i didnt see info on how too. THANKS EVERYBODY **edit** Template is done in php? sorry for dumb question i dont know much about php yet

To change the template, upload the template into the templates folder and change it in the admin section.

To edit templates you will edit the .tpl files inside the template folder

ok so i upload the whole folder in to the templates folder i when in to the admin section and to the template editor and there is nothing there how do i switch themes im sorry in new

go to admin>configure>template> to switch templates... not admin>template editor

ok i see not...next question i uploaded blue-eye in to the templates folder and put blue-eye value but it comes up with an error message what am i doing wrong

also i have read that article and i dont really get it

Troubleshooting

Check if the template files for the new template are not under another subdirectory in the new template directory. And what is your error message?

ok i figured it out now the yget file was with-in the blue-eyes folder i renamed then put that under templates and it worked
