gosh, you're right...

You are so correct: It is so much more important that he takes the time to review and post regarding sites that show the latest "hotties", like this:

Hottieguides now imports youtube,ifilm,revver,guba,flickr

Pligg is ever-so-useful as a purveyor of Porn....

Encouraging such innovative applications of Pligg is ever so much more important than discussing the concept of *Reputation* and measuring it - which, after all, is one of the prime elements of the web2.0....which Pligg was supposed to be a shining example of.

Nobody was *complaining* about the software...and, nobody was actually *complaining* period... just asking - politely - about why there was this communication gap on a topic that the developers claimed was one of the important features about Pligg....they claimed, in previous posts, that a solution was being worked on....and then communication just petered out.

There is a difference between "complaining" about things, and *commenting* about them.

He could have said the same things Dollar5 said, in the time it took to post misleading statistics about how much time it takes to deal with posts....when he could have just responded to the concerns raised.

Even so, it is curious that Pligg's Karma function requires paying money to acquire a third-party solution in order to work properly.

And, don't tell me I should hire a programmer to tell me why....such information ought to be available in the forum dedicated to the software.

Additionally, open-source is *not* synonymous with *free*... and Pligg is a financial asset which the owners have developed a substantial equity in...and this website - itself - is a Commercial venture, which sells products and support related to Pligg....and makes money from advertising.

The users helping to support this site with their traffic and recommendation of the software - by using it - have a right to have their questions taken more seriously about such an important topic.

This is *not* the same as some noobie asking where to change the color of his fonts.

The latest competition to Pligg is Drigg....and they seem to have no problem dealing with the issue of Karma.

Yeah, I know...so why don't I just go use their software, and shut up?:finger:

Because my comments in *no way* mean I do not value the software or admire the accomplishments/contributions of the developers. And I would like to use the software for developing social community and interactions that are more important than presenting Porn in a novel way (in my opinion).

Two separate topics, indeed.

Just do not pee on my leg and tell me it is raining.
