Push promoted news back to the top of the list

Hi,

On my site I want to modify pligg so that already promoted news get pushed to the top of the "Published News" list again after they received a certain amount of votes (after being published for the first time).

Is that possible or would it be very difficult? And where (i.e. in which files) would I have to start in order to achieve this? I'm not a great coder so I'd be thankful for every tip or hint you can give me here.

I want this, too. The top story on a little site like mine might have 2 votes, but there's one with 5 down the page ... or even on 2nd page!

I have implemented this mod on both "Published" and "Upcoming." I am fairly happy with the outcome. Feel free to check out my site in signature.

Gravity mode for submissions voting would rock

Please keep in mind, that when ever there is a change made, the story will go back into first positions. Changes include: vote, comment, edit.
