Pligg and 'AddThis' or 'ShareThis' - Any tips?

Has anyone had any luck on integrating their site with the social sharing add ons 'ShareThis' or AddThis'?

A lot of people who would otherwise add a link to my site as a click to add option are choosing to use these 'catch all' solutions instead.

Anyone figured out how to get included?

Just edit the link_summary.tpl and add those <script> tag of AddThis or ShareThis.

No cmstheme - Dan is asking for his site to be listed as one of the sharing sites as in "Share This" and "Add this"

Dan: I believe they do have a partnering page on their site to get included - they will be asking for site stats, also they seem to ignore adding regional sites (your site targets only Australia I guess so you have less advantage of getting included). Even if you get added - a site owners people generally edit the script to include only top 5 or 10 social networking sites like digg, mixx, propeller, reddit, delicious, technorati etc.. so it will only give lesser advantage.

But one of our other client 'Linka' tried contacting various blogs popular in his region and added his pligg site submit link to them - may be you could take this approach.

Oops I misunderstood it.

Well, I think it involves a lot of marketing strategies. I've known two Pligg-powered sites that are popular now and bloggers/webmasters even put their button instead of Digg.

They key point therre is how to get your site popular.
