i've noticed that a lot of people are looking for threaded replies within the comment on link structure...
oddly, bbpress.org - created by the dudes behind wordpress, and powering wordpress support forums, is super flexible and lite and so i was wondering how hard it might be to integrate into pligg - either as a standalone discussion platform that inherits the template, or as the actual discussion mechanism for each item added and tagged within the database...
any thoughts on this? you can read more about it at www.bbpress.org

btw, let me add to that a June06 post from the developer that bears direct relevance to this question above, "I just checked in a new database layer that allows bbPress to connect to a completely separate database for its user information, in addition to just having custom table names. This is very useful if you want a bunch of blogs and forums running off the same user system, but don't want to stuff them in the same database, or if your user information is hosted on a different server or account than your forums are.
