pligg cloud

just playing around with the cloud concept after i saw it on digg.com

basically showing the last 200 published stories in the cloud format, could easily be extended to show submitted stories, and restricted to categories as well.

i'm still running a pretty old version of pligg, but can post the code for the page if anyone wants it.

looks good, although I belive this already esists in pligg 5.10, no?

how many levels do you ahve in your code? 2-3? can you assign different css classes to each level?

(level1: italic, size 7 level2: normal, underline, size8, level3: normal, size 10) etc

sorry haven't seen the most recent versions of pligg, opps.

but looking at the tags on pligg.com this is different from what's been built.

the tag cloud looks at the tags set to each story and lets you see the stories in that tag, kinda like an ad hoc category.

what this does is size the different stories based on the the number of votes they have. an easy way to see the popular stories.

i coded to have 5 levels and each one has it own class in the css, so you can set the font size, background color, etc. of each level as you want to.

code is attached. (might require approval before it appears, and you'll have to rename from .php.txt to just .php)

you can pass in ?type=queued and it will show the queued stories instead of the published ones.

i included in the bottom of the file in php comments the CSS classes i used as an example, you'll have to add the appropriate classes to your css file.
