Allow anonymous comments

Hi

Let me first tell you that I have the greatest respect for this board and it members and I looked carefully if this question has been answered before.

So now to my question.

I want to allow anonymous comments. I think its a great way to make people to start participate. I know about the spam risk but I think I can deal with it if I just get users involved in my site.

Better a spammed site than no site if you know what I mean

So anybody knows where I should start looking. What template? I'm lost. My eyes are sore trying to figure it out.

I appreciate all the help you can given me.

I use Pligg 8.2 with the Paul01 template

I think I found the place to modify, I think it is "comment.php"

If anybody else has tips on how to progress I would be happy.

This is a great idea and something that I would definitely use.

Can't the innards of Wordpress be used for this? That system works just fine and has the 4 fields already. (Name, email, website, comments.) I don't know if this is against the open source license or not, just throwing it out there.

Wordpress is an OSS project - using the code here would cause no harm as this too is an OSS project

I think it's a great idea. But, i don't understand what do you do to permit anonymous comment ?
I usually post comments whithin blogs but i'll never post if i must register...
