I should point out that this line:

Code:
$message ="http://localhost/new/pligg19/validation.php/?code=$encode&uid=$username";
is located in the register.php file, in case if anyone was looking for it (like me)

and also, personally, for me, I'm using Gmail and $subject appears under the e-mail message, while $message appears in the subject line.

weird. but thanks for this mod.

Will fix that dude and present a newer one after testing - I think the parameters to mail function are wrong - thanks for pointing it out.

And sorry that i didnot mention to look into register.php in my previous post and thanks for noting it.

The module is updated to version 0.2 to reflect the changes, that the url is picked up automatically (no edit needed), admin-email is also picked up automatically, proper e-mail construction and modified content for better greeting

Test and let me know your feedbacks.

is there anyone has this working or am i the one?

when a user is registered it always says "Failed. Check your email...". it anyway sends the mail. it does not contain any code. url in the mail is like http://localhost/validation.php/?code=&uid=user1

db parameters seem to be correct
changed the "a" to pliggggg
changed /validation.php/?code=$encode&uid=$username to /validation.php?code=$encode&uid=$username. removing extra slash after .php

NEC,

Yeah, I seem to be having the exact same problems as you. DB params are correct and had the extra backslash, also getting the "Failed" message.

I figured out that I could get rid of the "failed" message by removing "pligg" in all instances that I am talking to the db - since I didn't install my db with the pligg_users prefix.

So... I get the nice welcome message and the email with a link with code=232342530401... but, when I click on the link I get "No input file specified."
and when I remove the "/" in the string after validation.php I get "Could not connect: Unknown MySQL server host 'DB_HOST' (1)". I have correctly defined my db.

Hmmm

Guys that was a problem that we did not update all places to use your user table and some places still had Pligg_users table references hard-coded - fixed now with version 0.3

Should work fine. Thanks for brining this to our attention. We did not notice them as all our tables had Pligg_ prefix.

The reason you got this error is that you did not enter proper details in the validate.php file, now that problem is fixed and no need to configure the validate.php file anymore and it will pick the tables properly. Check and let me know.

We tested at local host and seems to work fine.
