Hi,
I installed the Google Rev share module and it works fine. A great idea.
However, it displays ads on non-content pages also which is not correct according to Adsense TOS.
See here.

If the module can be modified in a way that ads are displayed only on content page, there is no other issue as far the concept revenue sharing is concerned. Google seems fine with that but its your own risk because if your users are not educated enough, they might start clicking on their own ads and get your site banned from adsense.
Any comments?

Definitely something to look into. But I imagine that the Rev Share only displays someones ad on their own post. So really, your ads should be displayed on all pages other than someones content. Make sense? I would like a confimation myself as to how this is done. I don't want any problems, and I don't want anyones ad displayed where it shouldnt be. |

Randy is correct... If your using the adsense rev-share module, only place ONE ad per page.. This doesn't mean one ad for a story, and one in the sidebar.. It means only ONE..

But you should be able to have more than one ad on other pages, right?

eon: think Chuck says using this share-revenue mod to display ads in footer, header and in sidebar is in agreement to the TOS of Google. But some users in addition to the share-rev mod - they directly place their adsense script in footer or header so there is more chances that they will be running more than one adsense ID per page and getting into trouble. Is that right randy and Chuck? |

Hi All, Thanks for the valuable info here. |

Is there anyway to prevent someone's own ad from displaying when he's viewing it? In other word, if user A is the owner of the article A, and he is viewing it right now, I don't want to ad to be served since I don't want him clicking on the ads himself.
