Image in Description Mod~help!

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to make the following.
- An extra field that when the user puts in a URL to an image (ie. http://www.image.com/image.jpg ) it will place that in the news item on the main page.

Essentially I want the user submitted image to show up with this code attached -- img src="http://www.image.com/image.jpg" align=left height=185 width=185 --. Asking my users to code in that info into the decription would be too much.
Anyone have a simple idea how to pull this off. Let's assume I am not too worried about goatse showing up. . .

I am no coder.. believe me.. so I am not sure how it would be done. Would there be a way to use the extra fields option to take the input of the image path and then have some kind of print variable (or whatever u guys call it) that will add your required code around the variable and ammend the additional field to the bottom of the news story.

You are going to want to upload the image onto your server as even if you just put that image variable in a template so it ends up like -- img src="http://www.image.com/image.jpg" align=left height=185 width=185 -- , someone could put a link to a 10Mb image location, and totally kill your bandwidth and cause your pages to load slow.

Again, the idea tho,is to allow the users to place the images there. Not me. I would find that image if it were 10meg. etc. I wouldn't mind an admin approval, but really. I just want to add a field to the submit sequence that would allow the user to place an image URL into their news item.
