bridging user registration across scripts

Hello all,

first post here, just stumbled across what looks to be a great script (pligg i mean), and I am wondering I already have a website that uses a registration and I'd like to add the pligg script to my site, but I would rather not have users have to re-register, the script im using right now is uses a mysql database and everything seems to be ok as far as compatibilty with the two scripts. My question is how can I get my current users registered within pligg as well as my current site, and also when new users register either on the pligg side of the things or the other script how can I make it a universal registration.

If you can point to any tutorials on similar projects I would appreciate it or just want to help a brother out that would also be pretty cool.

thanks

nick
