OK. Now I'm clearer. So lets clarify more of what you seek. On your screen shot you have an X in the top right corner of the frame. I assume this is the close button, correct? So when somebody clicks this X what would you like to see happen? From what you described, you'd like it to close your site's frame and show just the site currently viewing. Wouldn't making a click on the X take you to $story_url do what upnews is doing?

That's correct... exactly what I am looking to do.

I guess it should but I don't know how to implement this.

Well I'm not total smarty or php guru level yet but I'd be happy to take a look if you post the code (or PM me if you don't wish to share the whole thing yet).

Do get this to work I have modded a number of files, and it probably ain't the prettiest way of doing it, but it works! I will send you a zip of the files I have modded. In each common file you can see what has been changed as there are "if" statements for pagename "linkaframe" if you PM me your email and I can send you the zip in an hour or so.

Files received. I'll start going through and see what can be figured out. Hopefully this is something we can get working since I think it is a great thing to offer!

ANy update

Seems like a great way to keep the site sticky. Any news on this mod?

Until we can figure out the close button issue I don't want to release. Also you need to be aware that this is not a simple module you can just install. You need to write a load of code into your existing files to get this to work, as I am sure VLJ will agree. He has seen the changed files and I am sure he'll also agree the coding is a bit messy.

It works just want to make people aware.

Dollars5 can you help with the close button issue?

Agreed... It is a complex mod I am still trying to wrap my head around.

Related note... Anyone know where to get a fresh copy of beta 9.7?
