Akismet Anti-Spam v0.2

This is for Beta 9.8.2. If you have Beta 9.9, you already have Akismet installed.

1. You'll need a WordPress API key if you don't already have one. You can get one here... Where is my WordPress.com API key? « WordPress.com
2. Update your utils.php with this (click here) changeset
3. Update your /libs/comment.php with this (click here) changeset
4. Upload the contents of the attached file into your modules folder
5. Enable the Akismet module
6. Access the module by using the 'Spam' link at the top
7. Enter your WordPress API key

If Akismet says a comment is spam, it will not be saved. It just disappears.

If Akismet says a story is spam, it is still submitted, but there will be a link at the top to either confirm or deny that it is spam. Confirming will change the status to discard.

This is a very basic / beta module and more features are coming.

To UPGRADE, just upload the new file, replacing the existing ones.

I'm using 9.9.0 and have a submission that was falsely marked as spam. It's the first time Akismet has ever flagged anything before. So when I click, "No, this is NOT spam" link, nothing happens. It just seems to refresh the page. Same thing happens if I click, "Yes, this is spam."

How can I make these Akismet spam moderation links to work?

It just happened again. Now I have 2 legit submissions caught as spam that I can't approve. I think I'm just gonna disable Aksimet for now.

Wait, so how do you disable it so nothing is trapped as spam?

And can I somehow manually edit the database to approve these two trapped submissions?

I have 2 problems, both listed in this thread by others but not solved:

1. Spam I mark as NOT SPAM will not disappear from the list and will not ever make it to the Published page.
2. I cannot edit the Akismet settings, there is only text and no way to make edits (image attached).


Any ideas on how to fix these problems?

has the issues with allowing articles that aren't spam to be released fixed yet?

I have over 350 articles in this spam things and many aren't even spam!

I'm still using the first version!

how to reset the logs from akismet .. the spam lists is getting bigger .. i want to reset it ...
anyone knows how?

aksimet is sorting out stuff, but i do not know how to check back if it is ok

Akismet still needs work. I've added it as a Project under the Project tab. You can submit needed fixes there as well.
