Akismet Anti-Spam v0.2

This is for Beta 9.8.2. If you have Beta 9.9, you already have Akismet installed.

1. You'll need a WordPress API key if you don't already have one. You can get one here... Where is my WordPress.com API key? « WordPress.com
2. Update your utils.php with this (click here) changeset
3. Update your /libs/comment.php with this (click here) changeset
4. Upload the contents of the attached file into your modules folder
5. Enable the Akismet module
6. Access the module by using the 'Spam' link at the top
7. Enter your WordPress API key

If Akismet says a comment is spam, it will not be saved. It just disappears.

If Akismet says a story is spam, it is still submitted, but there will be a link at the top to either confirm or deny that it is spam. Confirming will change the status to discard.

This is a very basic / beta module and more features are coming.

To UPGRADE, just upload the new file, replacing the existing ones.

Yeah I would like for the 500 I have to be deleted or approved...

has it changed much since then? Can we approve or delete the spam now?

Akismet is a still partially finished mod. It needs some significant work - these don't work right now. I hope to have this on my dev. list for this month.

BUTTON/LINK [No, this is NOT spam] not working !!! ...
link is still there, in /module.php?module=akismet&view=manageSpam ... Articles apear in site but don't disappear from admin !!!

I have 9.9.5

When I click the "This is not Spam" the article goes to "queued". However, it does not disappear from the "Spam Admin" area.

Also, the admin menu bar constantly says "X Spam" even after checking the Spam folder.

I can confirm this. going to add this to the bug tracker so we can fix it. It probably broke during the 9.9.5 security update.

I had 300 items in the list as, like others in this thread, items couldn't be removed.

Anything I can do?
