| Usually this occurs when you haven't link the "fields" available from a blog to the relevant "fields" in Pligg's databse - e.g. link_content, link_url, link_title. Usually the names in the blog rss are like "title", "link", and "description." Click examine to make sure Magpie is able to pull the RSS feed....then see what fields you need to patch up from the results. David.

| This module is very good, but there is a big trouble, using it your tags table will have to many tags and make slow the entire site. So it will be good to create an other filter with stopwords, maybe, drop all words with less 4 characters for example.

| It has a bug, just like the other version. When you run it and you want only the newest/last story it going on some sort of random mode and picking any story from the feed. Rss import not ignoring the old stories in the feed. |

| im a noob so ive installed the new pligg and it includes the new rss import mod. I have it working but i dont understand the linking of the rss tags. im trying to import a feed from feed burner and ive got the title, link, and description down. But i cant link the full description in the full post. also the summary gets cut off. So my questions are: 1. how do i set the limit of characters on the link_content? 2. how do i map additional information thats not in the drop down list? 3. whats the point of link_field1, link_field2..... |

| EX: A link to a story would be - http://www.pligg.com/story?1928/g^837.html The google reader feed page is formed correctly. It appears that the Pligg RSS Importer is adding the base url to the story link so a submitted story link will read - http://www.pligg.com/story?1928/g^837.htmlhttp://www.pligg.com(added to posted story url) mysite is 新疆大*博客聚合_新疆大*博客,新疆 大**友博客 / 最新发表 anyone can fix this? thanks |

| I am mostly interested in the tags generation part does anyone have an idea where I can add this to the default rss importer |

| bubuto - why wouldn't you just use the RSS Importer 0.6? Its very easy to upgrade and I expect it will likely be included in the next core release of Pligg. David.

| because of all the problems that i read about above and rught now i can't play with the live site that much |

| ahh. well, i have experienced almost no problems...but if you look through the code in 0.6 the author who wrote this version clearly outlines each code edition. it should be fairly easy to find where he inserted the tag importer...and he pretty much kept his new functionality separated from the existing functionality. david.
