And for anyone else who may have looked at the code and are saying to yourself, "Why the heck did he do it like that. You can do that so much easier by doing ...." please let me know. This is my first ASP.NET app besides the stuff I do at work.

One of the biggest things that I've never done is made an installer for an ASP.NET/SQL 2005. That will definitely be a challenge for me.

Hello, I almost decided to use DotNetKicks source code. I am thinking twice now. Now I am planning to use php version for the time being. Then I will definitely use Asp.net version(!).

Please keep the following options:
. Import database from php version to asp.net version
. Keep the default template similar to php version(i like this one)

That's all we want. And thanks for starting the Asp.net version.

I've uploaded the latest to Pligg.NET - Published News so you can check it out if you want. The latest thing I've been working on is the friend and message functionality. You may find that some things are incomplete.

right now it's more of just a proof of concept. I don't know if KB is going to support this much.

It was more of a prototype I threw together in a few weeks for fun. DotNetKicks.com - .NET links, community driven. is already out there that does the same thing. It's been around for a few years now and will do everything Pligg can and more. It's written in ASP.NET and C#.

What do you mean it will do more than pligg? In what ways does it do more then pligg and where can I see a list of this functionality?

This project has not yet created any file release packages.

I only worked on it for 2-3 weeks and let the domains expire after 3 months since I really didn't have anymore interest in it. You can still get the code from SourceForge by using an SVN client. The files are located in the SVN section.
