Thanks but I need to be convinced first that Pligg is indeed the best open source CMS. In my experience with atleast 10 CMSs, that might not be the case.

Pligg is by far the most unique CMS out there, and by my standards that makes it the best. Everything else out there are just clones with the same type of Wordpress or PHPBB base.
