Well, I still get a white screen when I run the upgrade_0.8.2.php file so I checked the database with PHPMyAdmin and the alterations to the user field were NOT made. If you have this problem I guess the solution is to run this code in PHPMyAdmin:

ALTER TABLE `users` ADD `last_reset_code` varchar(255) default NULL

The new field is now added to my database and I assume that the login.php is working with it correctly as the logins are working. I'll reset password on the god account from another god account and it worked. Is there some other test that I should perform?
