Survey Results Now Available

The preliminary results from the Summer 2007 Pligg Survey are now available. They can be found on this blog post. Thanks to all those who participated in the survey so far. The survey will remain open for a couple more weeks so we can gather more information to help improve Pligg and pligg.com. If you haven't take it yet do so soon.

Th results are good so far - but pity that inspite of 8,753 registered users and 1,373 active users only 74 have answered. I think we need to push the survey through admin e-mail to all registered users. That would get more response and better ways to improve Pligg.

68.5% people have voted that they want Pligg to "Wanted a site like Digg.com" - that is interesting and gives us some directions where to concentrate in future. karma, dynamic upcoming->published, submit searching for similar stories to eliminate duplicates are some areas that will make us more Digg like - but we always do not have to be more Diggish

Thumbs up The survey results...

Well, the survey is closed now but the results are quite revealing.

Apart from the (pretty predictable) low number of respondents, the majority are working with "the latest and greatest" version of Pligg, even though it's a beta.

This means the web developers, out there, are looking to deliver the finest browsing experience to their users. It also means the admins are very confident about the work done on the Pligg script, even at the beta stage.

The number of respondents could've been higher with an email sent to everyone -but- even though they didn't answer doesn't mean they're not fans of what Pligg is currently achieving. It's merely a reflection of "normal life" where everybody's busy (families, work and such).

Thanks for sharing these results with us all ; )

Many get spammed with tons of surveys, hence when they see a mail with subject - survey - just move to bulk mail or trash also in forums it is common to see spambots posting links to surveys - may be all these turned users from taking a survey
