Guess it is more important to send statements to mashable than the community......

I'm just a newbie here, but I feel Pligg contributors need you to communicate quickly on this "rights to the code" explosive topic. I'm guessing you mean sourceforge accounts which is all right.

The AGPL licence guarantees at least the freedom of the bêta 9.7 release of Pligg : affero.org: affero general public license faqs

However Pligg 2.0 is not released and the AGPL allows, if wanted, not to release the modifications, so any future release can change its licence and even become fully proprietary, although a download link to the bêta 9.7 version of Pligg would always have to be made.

Smile Selling a site? What are rules for new sites?

I wouldn't sell my own, earthfrisk.com since it has taken so much time to create. But I'm interested in at least knowing what kind of prices such sites get?

I couldn't even think of a price if i wanted since at such an early stage it is all my time and ideas in the site with the pligg platform.

Anyone have an idea on how you judge or put prices on such sites? I bet mine would be up there at least from a design point of view. I hope some of you agree.

Mike

@EarthFrisker: this is related to the sale of teh Pligg.com and the code associated with it. If you are to sell your very own site - use sedo or e-bay (recently that has become an exit place).

Little sad about the upcoming sale of Pligg - but understandable with the burden and the market opportunity.

No it doesn't. GPL allows but AGPL doesn't. Read the license again, please.
