Paying for a Full-Time Developer?

Hey All,
I was just thinking - what would it take for us to hire a full-time developer for Pligg? And perhaps one of the current devs can answer - would any of them be interested in going full-time? Here is what I'm thinking - I can't afford much, I'm not making anything off of InformedNetworker.Com right now, but I do love Pligg and would love to support it and could probably swing $25/mo. (heck, used to pay that for AOL ISP in the old days). If we could get enough other interested individuals we could pay for an entire salary. I know, it seems like a little amount of money and we'd need tons of people, but not really:
Starting Salary: $60,000/yr.
Per User Donation: $25/mo. or $300/yr.
$60,000 / $300 = 200 Users.
That's not bad....especially since big companies like Intel are using Pligg now. Maybe we could convince them to pony up for a few users.
Anyways, let me know what ya all think, including devs...B/c I'd love to see the development pace of Pligg move at a faster clip, and I'm willing to put some cash out in order to see that it does.
Here are a few ideas for how to incentivize giving:
1. Weekly Development Reports stating what was accomplished in the last week.
2. Supporters Only "Priority Feature List" where items of interest to those donating would receive high priority development.
Respectfully,
David Mackey.

P.S. I know $60k is not as high as many developers receive. I just pulled a figure out and ran with it. As you can see, we wouldn't need too many more users to make it $75 or $80.

Heck I'd go full time for Pligg for 20K as long as I still get to work in my Pajamas.

Good question. I clean toilets (at the local high school) for my full time job and I net more then that. I hate my job, but tech just doesn't pay as much around here unless you are way better then I currently am.

I would hope anyone smart enough to be a developer for something as great as Pligg would make more then I do.

David.
My house and car are both paid for, also the cost of living here is quite low.
I don't have any children and sold the X-wife on ebay a few years back.

I personally don't think relying on a community in that way is the best prospect.

Though an interesting idea.

Your right, it wouldn't be a dependable source of income.
Most people here are cheap and more worried about getting something for free than getting a quality product.
The total amount I've received from personal donations for the work I've done
=$0.00
