Help! Newbie Killed His Pligg Site

I'm a Pligg newbie. And I ran into some trouble when I tried uploading a new template. I get this error now:

Fatal error: TPL: [in line 0]: syntax error: file 'cznet/pligg.tpl' does not exist in /home/themepa1/public_html/class.template.php on line 898

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this and bring my site back to life.

Thanks in advance!

go to yoursite.com/settemplate.php?template=yget

That will get you back to yget template.
The install the template correctly and try again.

When I download Pligg, it didn't come with yget. Digital Nature was the defalt. When I try doing the url you suggested with any of my uploaded templates, I get the same error I got before:

"Fatal error: TPL: [in line 0]: syntax error: file 'cznet/pligg.tpl' does not exist in /home/themepa1/public_html/class.template.php on line 898"

My url is: www.themeparksyndicate.com

Is there something else I can try to fix it?

Wow, you never said what version of Pligg you were using, and your profile says 9.8.2. Thanks for the confusion.

You will need to upgrade your Pligg..
The version you are using came out 12.17.2006
You are attempting to use Pligg 9.8.2 templates on an old Pligg platform.

I thought I downloaded the most recent version, but you're right I didn't. I'll try to upgrade to the latest and see what happens.

Thanks!

I downloaded the most recent pligg and everything was fine. Then I tried to switch templates and ran into some trouble. I had templates in the templates folder that were not showing up as links on the settemplate.php page. And when I enetered them as values via the template admin section, nothing happened. Basically it didn't know that the templates were there and I made sure that they weren't within subfolders. I tried messing with the templates.tpl file and now the site's down again. I can re-install to bring it back up but when I do I'll still need to figure out why it didn't see my other templates.

Can someone point me to some documentation that describes how the settemplate.php file works? Also, on how pligg recognizes that other templates are available?

Thanks again!

Same problem here. Pligg doesn't recognize any other templates in the templates folder. Just as you described.

Finally changed the template by cheating. My default template was "yget", so I renamed that folder "yget_old", then changed the folder name of the template I wanted to "yget", and it worked.
