Editing the templates?

Hello,

I have search the forum over and never really found any information on editing the templates..

I am using /mollio-beat/ for the design but just can't figure out how to edit the templates like header, footer, sides and such?

I open header.tpl and this is all that is there:
config_load file="../libs/lang.conf"

I have never edited smarty but I have created several sites and can edit php and such..

Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.

just throw the html for your header into that file and do the same for footer.tpl, sidebar.tpl etc...

what about the other files like the registration forms and such? I want to add things to the registration form but can't find out where they are...

Dennis they're all in the .tpl files in your templates folder. Just start popping them open and you'll figure out what is what pretty quickly.

If you're just looking to skin the mollio-beat template then go into templates/mollio-beat/css/main.css and start hacking away at it. Are you any good with CSS?

If you know where the registration form is advice as I can't find it..

are you looking at the .tpl files under templates/mollio-beat/....that's where you want to be looking

The registration files are register_step_1.tpl, register_step_2.tpl etc...

change your text editor !

i use Notepad++ for edit any smarty's tpl files !
