Cool New Pligg Template - Questions

I wanted to create a new template for Pligg and before proceeding, I wanted some more information.

Is Pligg going to change its current template system (Smarty)? Are you switching over to a system like Joomla or Wordpress?

Is there a comprehensive guide somewhere with the template variables of Pligg?

Thanks.
Paul

I don't believe we're going to change away from smarty any time soon, although, if someone wants to try using something else I'm personally all open to look at other possibilities.

Right now people are working on making the smarty code cleaned up and simpler for people to make templates. Also, people (I believe savant for one) is working on having better docs available before a 1.0 release. Right now we are at beta 7.

Thanks!

Any estimate as to when the next major release is going to come out?

What is the default template going to be for the next release?

Published news Template - Where is it?

Hi there:
In order to save some space because I want to show as many published news as possible on the main page, right now for each news it shows: 1st Line, the title; 2nd: The link to the story 3rd. The user that sent it 4th the Summary and last: line tags , comments, etc.

What I want to do is to move the information on line No 3, the information for the user, up to line number 2 alongside the link to the story.

I have been looking all around for the place to make the change, but have not found it yet. Seem slike the page is made on the spot, but I need to find the place where Pligg arranges it, or is it Molio? I don't know.
Thank you for your help

it's in the link_summary.tpl file, fjcaceres. I don't have time right now or I would explain where things are in more detail.

I did it. Thank you for guiding me. I thought that that I should be looking for a </br> and I found one; took it out from line 36, if I am not mistaken, and done.
