I'm trying to find the source of two CSS anomolies. Please see the attached images. I have gone over the stye sheet and haven't found the answer.
Both of these are in the sidebar (menu) and I need to get rid of them.
By the way Yank, is there a time frame for the new beta 6 to be released?

I probably should add that this is an IE only thing. Firefox looks correct. Any CSS gurus out there have a fix? |

I fixed the second one, bnnut I've never seen the first one, where do you see that (which page?) I went into the TPL file, and changed it's ID from main-digg to main-submit, since they are the same, and submit is working properly, if you wanted both of them using different classes, then I fixed that also, but i dont remember which line I added ![]() basicly, I fixed the second anomaly, but then I readlised m-s = m-d and so i changed the class. |

Actually crypt, on my version (5.10) they are not the same thing. Submit does not have a border around it, easy enough to fix, but what it am looking for is an actual explanation of the the difference in CSS. I have done away with the first one now. I'm going to just join the Pligg and Submit into one box. I'm going to really spend some time over the next couple of days crawling through the stylesheet to see just exactly what the hell is going on. I realize there are some very serious limitations to using CSS correctly in IE and I d/l the newest beta of IE 7 today just to see how their development is coming. Right now though, it's a lose-lose situation. IE sucks, and I can't keep Firefox running long enough to have it be a useful tool. Yank, I really like the template you have going for beta 6. What can I expect to run into, never having used smarty before when designing a new look for the site. By the way, I'm setting up a Pligg theme repository if anyone is interested in developing themes for it and wants to share them with others. |

hey eric, they arn't the same thing, but they are pretty darn close so close, in fact that I don't see the use (personally) to have them as 2 dfferent classes.

yeah, there should be a set of rules in developing a theme, and a small line of code that will set the path to the template files. ie: move the css file into the templates folder, then create a subdirectory the same name as the css file. the .tpls should go in there. then make that selectable either via admin panel, or users settings. ie: -templates ----default.css ----mystyle.css ----newstyle.css ----default --------header.tpl --------all_sidebarl.tpl --------all_footer.tpl ----mystyle --------header.tpl --------all_sidebarl.tpl --------all_footer.tpl ----newstyle --------header.tpl --------all_sidebarl.tpl --------all_footer.tpl |
