Unhappy Tutorial for Layout Changes

I have been searching through the support forums for hours and can't find anything that tells me what files to modify to change the logo, background colours etc....

I'd appreciate it if someone could point me to the right info.

I have read the post about Beta 6 having some template features but it appears to be delayed.

Can anyone help me?

hey boss, I replied to your PM.

for anyone else wondering, PLigg 5.1 (or 5.5, i dodnt remember) is using the smarty template enigine. all the templates are located in \template\ they are TPL files, which are basicly HTML, with smarty tags.

smarty tags are declared in curly brackets, like {$I_am_a_variable} these tell the template engine that the code assigned to $I_am_a_variable will be placed there. edit the TPL files, along with the CSS files, and you're on your way to customising!

It's really just trial and error too. It'll take time to get it how you want.

I created a new forum for submitting Pligg templates. I started working on a new template this evening and found that it's really not too tough to make templates for Pligg once you get the whole template concept down. All uploads to the new forum should be just copies of the /templates directory, and images from in the /img directory. I should definitely have a template ready by this weekend. Right now I have the basic layout down, I just need to pretty up a vote button and some other images. I encourage anyone with CSS and graphic design skill to submit their creations to the new forum area. Perhaps we will hold a competition in the future for best Pligg design.
