Just wondering if there is a list of free available Pligg templates with screenshots and perhaps demos?

The only free templates available are mollio-beat (the default template) and paul01 which is included in Pligg beta 8.2

Do you know if it's just difficult to create templates or people prefer to be compensated?

Perhaps you could workout what the deal is and setup something to offer more templates (free or cheap). Maybe a Pligg setup could be used where template designers can submit their templates and initially they are free to download, but when they get X number of votes they cost a little, and at Y number of votes they cost a bit more.

Sort of like a sliding cost scale... as the template becomes popular it gets votes and costs more, so the designer gets compensated for their work.

Ideas are always good but making a template takes a lot of work and so that's why no one wants to do it, and most of the time are willing to pay someone else. There's a new template a user created in the templates forum. Maybe that will be the next free one.

And ONE paid template:
