Add submission box to front page?

Hello everyone,

Two questions. First, I'm trying to add the story submission box to my front page (below published stories). I've tried copying the code from submit_step1.tbl into the bottom of index but I got a load of errors. Is there a simple way to do this that I havn't quite grasped?

Second, while I was working on my template earlier today, something happend (aka I did something) that dislocated all the CSS from my site. Only the header styles have remained. I can't for the life of me figure out what is wrong. If someone could take a look and see if I'm missing something obvious, I would greatly appreciate it: http://jssolomon.com/Secrets/ Otherwise, I'll keep trudging through.
Edit: fixed second issue. Was just a missing bracket in my CSS file (guess that was expected, no?)

Try copying the submission <form from submit_step1.tpl into either the bottom of link_summary.tpl or the footer.tpl

As for the CSS issue... It's anyone's guess.. I always keep a backup copies of every change, so I can always back track.
