Blocking India

Well, the time has come today for me to block the entire country of India from accessing my Pligg sites.

It's unfortunate that 100% of the visitors from India have either been spammers or template thieves.

I've included a block list which you can cut & paste into your .htaccess file.

I didn't want to block the entire country but like I stated above , each and every visitor to my site from that country had bad intentions. I'm tired of fighting it. So the country is now blocked.

I know there are cool people in India and I'm sorry that you have to pay for the mistakes made by your countrymen.

That is very unfortunate that you suffer from spam - but I have to totally disagree with your views - not every one are spammer, not just only Indians spam - infact on my site I get spammers from China and Russia, my friend's site gets spammers from Brazil. And yes, I am from India.

I too get spam from other countries as well.

It was just getting out of control with the visitors from India spamming the site, copying the template, hotlinking my graphics, hacking attempts, etc. This was happening multiple times daily and I felt there was no other recourse.

The site they were targeting was not even global type site, it is for a small town in upstate Pennsylvania, in which any legitimate person from India would have no interest in anyway.

The title was totally mis-leading hence was my post. It would have been kind of you if you could edit it to read "Blocking Indian spammers on a Pennsylvanian site" - thanks for the clarification though.
