Wow, a massive improvement in speed from that small change. Thanks. I did the same for the categories too - I presume that they get called every time someone looks at the categories.

This should help ANY version of pligg. The next release will have this plus some other index improvements, plus a decrease in the amount of queries that Pligg uses. I don't know when the release will be. |

So can I safely do this for now? alter table pligg_links add index(link_status); If the next update, do I have to drop this index? and how to drop it with mysql querry? Thanks... |

Don't sweat it, just try it. Adding an index to a table can't hurt anything. ![]() To drop an index just do: drop index index_name on tbl_name |
