Hi. I've been using Pligg for a couple of months now and it's great. I use it to run a Comic Digg Site (Comicsby.us) but the problem is that it is too easy to ruin a comic with the description and would really just rather the title say it all. So my questions are:

1. Can I remove the description field?

2. If I can remove it, what will happen to the posts that have a description already? Will they just stay unless I delete them?

Just remove the description box from submit_step_2.tpl
That will stop people from using it when they submit.
To remove it from older post just remove {$story_content} from link_summary.tpl

you will probably also need to decrease the minimum character requirement to 0. unless you set it hidden, and give it a default text value of some kind

Thanks! This at least puts me in the right file. But I'm having one problem with this. When I try to remove it, I get the missing character boxes on both sides of my categories in my drop down. As far as I can tell I didn't mess with anything I wasnt supposed to. So I still haven't been able to get rid of the description. When I took out {$story_content} that caused missing character boxes on ever post.

Actually this is the same problem that I gt if I mess with the header.tpl at all too. If you go to my site right now you can see that there are missing character boxes between some of the nav like this "Comicsby.us Home � Hottest Comics" this happens any time I edit the header. All I did to cause the above issue was change the little slogan at the top of the template I was using. I didn't even technically edit any code. And that caused that box. Any idea why I get these boxes when I edit things? Is it because I'm using Dreamweaver to edit tpl files perhaps? Any other advice?

What's the cause of these darn boxes!? �����������
