The article below suggests why digg has a flaw in their system. Well I hope pligg can use the same suggestion in the article to improve pligg also. What do you guy think?

Although there is not a specific mod to create this exact mod, there are a few that could help create more interest in looking at the Upcoming stories.

This one will put a story that has been voted or commented on to the top of the list. Thus making it more prominent to voters. http://forums.pligg.com/suggestions/...ould-rock.html I use this on my site an am fairly happy with the continuous new look on the pages as activity is generated.

This mod provides a feature box on the published page of some of the upcoming stories. I have not tried it, but it does look promising. http://forums.pligg.com/my-pligg-sit...mary-file.html

These could be a temporary solution until something more like the mod you presented is available. I think the suggestion would be a great option.

I've been reading a little the comments on that particular article, and I found:

I'd drop a box in the right column with upcoming stories. I don't want newly submitted content mixed in with the true front page content.
Maybe then refresh that list every few minutes with a new batch of stories. That way several new (or upcoming) stories get exposure on the front (and other) pages.

Pretty neat idea, I know we already have this in our sidebar, it would be cool if we can ajaxify it, so that it updates every say 20 seconds (to keep the server happy). Or if we do mix it up with the content, make it look like the screenshot in the article.

It would be a good idea if there was a way to give different users different random "1 digg" stories on the popular page.

Various stories, more varied frontpage, for every user!

Also, we really need a new formula that puts user karma in the equation, I changed the maximum karma to 10000, and if a user with 3000 points votes on a story should count more that a person with 15 points burying it. Or is it a bad idea?

At first glance this seems great... but, I see a problem. I oft click through stories and find I don't like them, I'm not sure i'd like a point put towards a story that way. Or maybe I'm just missing the point of the addon?
