Dear all

I made a new lang.conf file for my German Site, I had to customize it a lot. I used Notepad++ to edit both english version and german version....

But for the German Version I have some huge problems with special characters...

I typed them directly in as ä,ü,ö and uploaded the file. Unfortunately in the FrontEnd instead of the special characters now I have a ?

Did also save the lang.conf as UTF8 (I see some chinese simbols in Notepad++) but no changes...

Does anyone has any idea? I did read some other threads, but not found what Im looking for.

strange thing...
the file has to be saved as asciii so that it works... but it has to be encoded in utf8, and than converted to ascii
